Variables
COMBINE includes two types of variables :
required &
recommended
Consortium Members who contribute data must have all of the required variables, in order to ensure that there is sufficient data to answer primary questions about motor behavior & neurodivergence.
Consortium Members may also choose to contribute data for any of the recommended variables. This will enable examination of more complex relationships between domains of ability related to motor behavior.
All data contributed to & stored in the COMBINE dataset are deidentified.
Required Variables
At least one of the following standardized motor assessments:
• Movement Assessment Battery for Children (MABC) – 2nd edition (scores & band number)
• Peabody Developmental Motor Scales (PDMS) – 2nd edition (scores)
• Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOT) – 2nd edition (scores from short form or full form)
Age at date of testing (in months)
Neurodevelopmental condition (including but not limited to: autism/Asperger’s/ASD, FrX, DCD/dyspraxia, ADHD/ADD, DS, CP, ID/MR, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, CAS, SLI/DLD, PDD-NOS, anxiety, depression, EDS, auditory processing disorder, NVLD, vision impairment, vestibular disorder/vertigo, other/free text response)
Sex assigned at birth OR gender (must have one of the two)
Country where data were collected
Site/Institution where data were collected
Principal Investigator of study under which the data were originally collected
The more data each member contributes, the more interesting & complex questions we can answer together!
